Marine People Ltd. (part of the Intermarine UK Group) partnered with a leading Canadian defence manufacturer to deliver a targeted UK recruitment campaign, supporting the expansion of its specialist engineering and defence workforce.
With demand for experienced professionals remaining high, the client required a recruitment partner capable of delivering a focused hiring programme. The campaign needed to combine speed, quality and a positive candidate experience.
Working closely with the client’s recruitment and hiring teams, Marine People planned and delivered three dedicated recruitment events across separate UK locations. Canadian hiring managers travelled to the UK to take part in the campaign, allowing them to engage directly with candidates and ensuring key decision-makers were present throughout the interview process. Marine People managed every stage of the campaign, from candidate sourcing and interview coordination to communications and on-site support. This ensured an organised and efficient recruitment process for everyone involved.
Over the course of the campaign, more than 35 candidates were interviewed for a range of specialist positions. The structured format allowed hiring managers to meet a high volume of pre-qualified professionals within a short timeframe. This reduced time-to-hire while maintaining a thorough assessment process for every candidate.
A key advantage of the project was the opportunity for candidates to meet the Canadian hiring team face-to-face. These conversations gave candidates valuable insight into the organisation, relocation opportunities and long-term career prospects.
