Interweld Nuclear Services Ltd has been launched as a joint venture between Intermarine UK and South Africa-based Allweld Nuclear & Industrial.
The business combines Intermarine UK’s international workforce mobilisation and project-delivery capability with Allweld Nuclear & Industrial’s experience in nuclear manufacturing, maintenance and quality assurance.
Based in the UK, Interweld Nuclear Services will support nuclear new build, manufacturing and maintenance programmes across the UK and Europe. Its capability includes nuclear-qualified trades and technical personnel, project management, welding and fabrication, pipework, mechanical and electrical installation, equipment supply and scoped manufacturing packages.
Interweld Nuclear Services holds ISO 19443 accreditation, supporting the quality, traceability and nuclear safety requirements expected throughout the industry supply chain. The business can deliver work through both on-site and off-site models, supported by the wider international networks of its parent companies.
The launch marks a further expansion of Intermarine UK Group’s work across safety-critical industries. Through Interweld Nuclear Services, the Group can provide nuclear clients with the skilled people, specialist capability and project support required across construction, manufacturing and long-term maintenance programmes.
